A 30-year prestigious San Francisco medical practice founded by a Sutter Health Executive MD hired Linda Fairchild as Consulting Practice Manager in 2007. The challenge: support five MDs with very different needs and career goals. Sutter Health was in the late stages of planning their flagship hospital targeted to break ground by 2014.  The physical move of the hospital to the center of San Francisco would affect a significant percentage of their medical staff; this practice would be deeply affected.

To maintain consistency in patient care, the transition planning needed to be gentle and seamless for both patients and doctors. Linda worked closely with each MD to allow the practice to change and evolve so there was no break in quality healthcare delivery.

Over five years, Linda supported the doctors and their staff, managing all the hiring and staffing needs, recruiting new talent as needed. As doctors left the group, she supervised transfer of medical records and met all regulatory and compliance standards.

Technology was needed to modernize. Linda's tech team hardwired the suite of offices so the practice was connected to the hospital and upgraded all the MD and staff computers. The practice was preparing to integrate into the sweeping changes happening at Sutter Health, in a time frame that worked for the MD's.

The last MD she supported moved very close to the new hospital location into a medical professional building owned by Sutter Health. Linda acted as Project Manager for the architectural build out of the new offices.  She helped him realize his dream: an International Travel Medicine clinic embedded in his Primary Care practice. She did all branding, website and art placement in the new offices.

Linda Fairchild does A - Z support for startups, emerging business and older companies yearning for modernizing and transformation.
